Inspiration: ???

Where does your inspiration begin? Is there a long drawn out anticipation leading to the one defining moment?

I would love to understand how inner inspirations(sigh) come about in one's soul.
How does your calling to create that perfect card?

An Inspiration: CTMH book (plain)

Above you will see a book that I designed for my daughter as a personal trinket.
Inside, I placed embellishments and photos and wrote down a few words to her to revisit time to time.

Supplies:
1.  Scrapbook Paper(brand escapes me) cut to fit the size of cover
2.  Dream chip board(blue)
3.  The first step is to Dream chipboard(lower middle)
4.  I love you stamp( stamped on plain paper and then cut along the outline of the wording and colored red)
5.  The JUST FOR YOU stamp was stamped on the actual book and I then I cut out the peep hole for the saying to appear. Naturally, I glued the bling around the peep hole.
6. Other floral stickers placed on the upper left corner of the cover.(soft cushion stickers)
7.  Blue floral 3-D placed in upper right corner.

*IF I DID NOT MENTION A BRAND IT IS BECAUSE THIS WAS DONE LAST YEAR 2013 AND THE NAMES ESCAPE ME.

An Inspiration: Graduation Party Hat box remix

What greater inspiration can a mother have than their first born graduating from high school. Being accepted at all the colleges she applied to through high school. Winning scholarships.

Senior year for my daughter and me, was super busy. Parent meetings galore. Dues for this, dues for that. All for the diploma. Never mind senior pics. However, on that day it was all worth it. She made me very proud of her accomplishments.

It was only right that I put my creative energy into my daughter's day.

As you can see the Hat box remade representing her college choice.

These are the after photos above
After her brothers got a hold of the box after the party.

This is how it was designed and displayed

1. Hat box from JoAnns Fabrics
2. Green Paint(Martha Stewart)
3. EMU Eagle photo downloaded from Google images
4. Paper from JoAnns Fabrics (Purchased this bag of scraps, literally full of  scraps)
I believe it was about $5.00-$7.00

This was so much fun. Hope you like it? Beats spending more money on a box everyone may have.

An Inspiration: Spur of the moment

You never know where your inspirations will come from in this life. Be it big or small; simple or difficult acts.

While waiting for my pictures to upload to my laptop. Windows laptop mind you. Here I thought I could operate this thing, I'm pretty computer savvy. Atleast I thought I was. it took forrreva!

So in that time of waiting, I continually glanced at my cluttered desk and noticed that I still had my Valentine stamp out from the last swap I did. Well low and behold a Valentine's card was born.

Ta-da!!

Ladies an Gents, I have been restored and made whole.

I am working my way up the email of all the pics I submitted on email to post here.

Yay me!!

It begs to question, why should this be so difficult to share and have fun. Why yes it will still be fun and difficult at the same time. It's an educational path if you will. Can't wait to share and then do videos.

Not as easy I imagined

Well good people, I have begun to upload photos only to find out that my fancy smancy Windows Laptop is a little bit more complicated than needed to be. All I want to do is to share the photos on my blog via my celly. I took the SD card out and popped it in the laptop slot and only screen shots appeared. Really? This can not be taking up my whole day. I have two cards to design.

Any pointers? While I wait I'll try the help discussions. What I did do in the meantime is emailed my photos and will just save to the computer that way and upload. Makes a lot more sense right about now...ugh..lol

I wanted to post a picture of a standing mirror that I will be prettying up for my daughter. I hope she likes it and is following me on here.

Let the creative juices begin!!!

Hola, Hello, Good Day, Bom Dia , Bon Jour, Salaam aleikum to you all and Thank you for visiting my blog.

I figured I should start by telling a just tad bit about myself. I grew up with the notion, belief and thought process of, "If you want something done, don't wait on anyone else, find YOUR own initiative and do it yourself." Well looky here and I have begun to do this. No book or motivational speaker could have convinced me to this.

How many years later???  Out of everything I have considered this is one path I feel complete in reinventing myself.

I happened one starry night while dreaming of Disney World....nah it didn't.

It has been happening for over 30 years. I owe my creative strength to my grandmother Zilla Belle Giddens. That woman was the best ever. Her smile made you feel special. Those chocolate cakes sitting on the breakfast nook counter as I arrived to stay for all holidays was quite special to me. The many times we sat in the family room as she taught me how to crochet, needle point and play the piano and organ(if only I was as great as she was). Only know a few keys. I watched as she created sweaters, squares, blankets from yarn by hand and by this humongus machine that sat in the corner of a room. It's with her spirit inside of me that I found my release and calling. My therapy if you will.

I finally found something that keeps me going and thrilled to say the least. You can't go wrong with art. No matter the style and context.

My children are well aware of my interest and have even assisted me in making the right decision as far as the color, the content, the cause of a card or box that I have designed and decorated. They have even so much as to clean up my mess...lol. You know that craft table, kitchen table, den, office, dining room, desk, couch, bed is something else. Just one card can make the ultimate mess. Preparing a full Pot Roast dinner or Homemade Chicken Noodle soup is cleaner than making a decorative card.

I tell ya it's thee best creation you have sitting before you next to my children of course.

So enjoy this ride with me as I begin this journey full on with the idea that creating a blog and making YouTube videos will lead to meeting new like minded friends to share and just have fun. To those that do not have a creative bone in your body, join in the fun-you don't know what you're missing. I swear you'll become addicted to the beautiful designs and shopping. Oh yeah if you come across a coupon you do not need, I am a click away---hehehee.

I can't wait to share!

P.S. So much for a tad bit.
